Why Are Dollar Store Products Made In Canada?

I'm a frequent shopper at the Dollar Tree. Good deals can be found in a pinch: toilet paper, toothpaste, generic Advil, but, has anyone else noticed- the products stocked in these stores are almost ALL made in Canada? I have nothing against the country. However, in an age in which people struggle to pay for prescription medications, it's illegal for US residents to purchase said medications from Canada, where they are cheaper, yet, it's ok for us to buy Canadian Colgate and Toilet paper? I have a bottle of the generic advil beside me. It says: Product of Canda. Can companies in the US not make cheap products for consumers?

Really? Seems like China

Really? Seems like China would be the logical choice. I'll be sure to check it out next time i'm in the dollar store.

Thanks,

I believe that things may

I believe that things may have or will be changing, and people will be able to get prescription drugs from Canada. The trick is that you will have to actually go there physically. Won't be able to mail order.

I've heard that there are

I've heard that there are Additives in some of those Canadian products sold at the Dollar Stores that are Not Allowed in the American versions... Don't quote me on this, I heard it from someone else but worth looking into...

I agree..you should be able

I agree..you should be able to buy 'all' Canadian products. It just goes to show..to keep busines alive and well for the average business man they'll allow the flow of goods into your country. But when it comes to the power houses such as pharmacueticals..nope there's just now way they'll risk it. I'm a Canadian..it seems Americans need to protest this bs and protest it right now. Even better still..get them to drop the price of medications in the states.

Yea, there's no difference

Yea, there's no difference between Canadian drugs and U.S. drugs.
None.
It's just some stinking arrangement with this bought and paid for corrupt bunch of crooks we have for congress and senators.
Except for Ron Paul, he's alright and maybe a few others.

I would be happy to buy

I would be happy to buy "Made In Canada" products, all I see is Made in China at dollar stores, which keeps me away!
