I am talking about interference. I have two pairs of RF headphones for watching movies at home. Once in a while there is either static noise and clicking from the Wireless router. Better yet, the wireless connection on the laptop drops and is hard to re-establish until I unplug the headphone transmitter. What the fuck is this? read more »

MacBook Air - another hot air balloon!
Submitted by Alex on Fri, 2008-01-18 15:17.MacBook Air seems completely blown out of proportion. What's the big deal, there have been lightweights like that forever? It's just another piece of paranoid madness created by Apple's marketing department. Here is a video proof: MacBook Air Parody Enjoy!
So Microsoft has this cool multi-touch screen, now what? A Critical Review
Submitted by Alex on Wed, 2007-05-30 21:19.As it has been reported , Microsoft is releasing a new multi-touch display. The technology beyond is really exciting, but let me point out a few implementation related concerns: 1) Why do they need the cameras? If you want to copy pictures to your wireless digicam, just place it on the table and as it connects, simply display a camera-like icon on the screen. read more »
Bring Microsoft to justice
Submitted by Alex on Mon, 2007-05-14 21:24.It has been reported today on digg and everywhere else about Microsoft cracking down on Free and Open Software with a lawsuit. They claim that Linux and the likes infringe on more than 200 of their patents and want to collect royalty! Patenting is a concept that it not so easily applied to things like computer algorithms or ideas. Richard Stallman in his talk on patents (see video) mentions that a patent office clerk gets several hours to cross-check if a new patent application infringes on already existing ones. read more »
NativePE XP bootable is a great promise, but doesn't work!
Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 2007-05-02 16:06.Basically this was supposed to create me a bootable CD with all the recovery apps handy. Also I wanted to see my hard drives. I wish it went smoothly for me, but nope... nothing works. The project is a great promise, but still very undercooked http://www.boot-land.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=1662 read more »
Exponential upgrades suck !!!
Submitted by Blacksmith on Thu, 2007-04-12 16:08.How many times you were feeling this frustration of purchasing a flash drive or any other small and portable, but yet pricey device, just to discover that double-sized one is out ??? Take those flash drives. I've seen almost all of them. Starting with just 4 MB, then 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256*, 512, 1G*, 2G, 4G* and now 8G (asterisks mark those I've actually owned ). And if you think that technological growth or Moore's law has anything to do with this -- you are SO wrong !!! Have you ever looked inside??? Well, crack yours open, indulge your curiosity ! It does not worth a s***t any more anyway! And you will see, that even the large ones (like 1 or 2 Gs) are in fact half-empty inside. read more »
Windows Vista - Do Not Buy!
Submitted by Alex on Sun, 2007-03-04 08:36.It really is just a very expensive face lift for XP. For the average user the noticeable pros are: a better looking (but not the best) graphical interface. Here are some cons: - Uses much more system resources, all for the better looks (more RAM, CPU and graphical card cycles). These resources could be instead used to run your Office or web-browser faster - Very expensive - Conflicts with much of the existing hardware. Requires you to buy a new system. read more »
Firefox slow to open a new tab
Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 2007-02-07 10:36.Ok , this is some new behavior i'm experienceing with FF 2.0. When I double-click in a tab bar to open a new tab it take up to 8 seconds to open it. Sometimes it goes away after restarting the FF ... sometimes it doesn't. Looking in task manager all I see is that FF consumes huge amounts of memory (up to 200 MB working set). I'm at a loss here!
Mac web browsing experience
Submitted by Anonymous on Mon, 2006-09-25 20:49.I ocassionally have to use a Mac in my university's sports complex....gosh, what a drag. When I type in address line it shows about one char a second. Two browsing experiences so far: (1) Opened Safari, did some google local search (maps), the addresses in the left panel are invisible. Switched to Mozilla, works ok. (2) Opened Mozilla, went to blogmad.net.... crashes. Never even thought about such problems on XP.
iPod's piss me off!
Submitted by Anonymous on Fri, 2006-08-25 12:00.Overpriced, over-marketed piece of junk! Really people, open your eyes, there are plenty of GOOD mp3 players out there for half the price! See what I recently bought on ebay. Headphones? No! MP3 player! No wires, no separate charger, just plug it into you comp and enjoy. 1GB of songs by the way.... read more »
