Electronic mosquito repellents don't work

One more thing found to be not working as claimed: electronic mosquito repellents that emit a high-pitched sound. A review of their use failed to find any evidence that they work. There was no difference in the number of mosquitoes on people with or without this device. Don't waste your money!

No vitamin C in drink

 Wikinews reports that GlaxoSmithKline was fined for a misleading advertising in New Zealand. For about 55 years the company advertised a blackcurrant-flavoured drink Ribena as being rich in vitamin C, with four times as much as oranges. Turned out there is no vitamin C in this drink and a very small amount of actual blackcurrant juice.  read more »

Sell by

You know what gets me? Each time I buy eggs I'm perplexed with a question--what does "sell by" date really means? Is it the date upon which if still in-store the eggs explode? Or is it that they will just rot? What does this date signify, and how is it suppose to help the consumer?

Don't trust bagless vacuum cleaners!

I bought one, thinking it would filter out more small particles. But when it is time to clean the can (and this time is usually every time) I am dissipating vast quantities of it just by brushing the filter! So, what's the point then?!!!
