Electronic mosquito repellents don't work
Submitted by ventagirl on Wed, 2007-04-18 09:20One more thing found to be not working as claimed: electronic mosquito repellents that emit a high-pitched sound. A review of their use failed to find any evidence that they work. There was no difference in the number of mosquitoes on people with or without this device. Don't waste your money!

Submitted by ventagirl on Tue, 2007-03-27 15:21Wikinews reports that GlaxoSmithKline was fined for a misleading advertising in New Zealand. For about 55 years the company advertised a blackcurrant-flavoured drink Ribena as being rich in vitamin C, with four times as much as oranges. Turned out there is no vitamin C in this drink and a very small amount of actual blackcurrant juice.
Sell by
Submitted by Anonymous on Wed, 2007-02-28 16:23You know what gets me? Each time I buy eggs I'm perplexed with a question--what does "sell by" date really means? Is it the date upon which if still in-store the eggs explode? Or is it that they will just rot? What does this date signify, and how is it suppose to help the consumer?
Don't trust bagless vacuum cleaners!
Submitted by Anonymous on Tue, 2007-02-13 16:08I bought one, thinking it would filter out more small particles. But when it is time to clean the can (and this time is usually every time) I am dissipating vast quantities of it just by brushing the filter! So, what's the point then?!!!
