More free movies online: an alternative to BitTorrent!

Since RIA and MPAA are cracking up ever stronger a lot of users online find it easier to switch from BitTorrent to good old HTTP to watch all new episodes of Lost or Prison Break.

Several sites seems to aggregate a lot of links to streaming videos (no waiting for download Smiling of tv-shows, movies, cartoons, you name it! Some good ones are 66stage.com or alluc.org, but you can find a very long list at fatboymedia.com read more »

Indiana University President Michael McRobbie sells off to ChaCha!

This was on Slashdot recently. Basically a newly elected president of Indiana University (which is a public school) Michael McRobbie was on the board of directors of ChaCha, people-powered web search company). Now he is switching the entire university to use this search system in favor of Google. Definitely smells like a conflict of interest! read more »

 They do write good product reviews for profit and don't even hide it! They usually go like this "I'm only writing about the products that I really like anyway, so why not make some money on the side?". WRONG!  This is the very start of corporate whorism! At first you may be doing just that, but then what if you are some $100 short for a new IPod (or your family's Hawaii vacation)??? Yes, you will bend the rules a little and start writing about a not so perfect product!  read more »
