Google Wave: Potential Problems and Benefits
Submitted by Alex on Fri, 2009-05-29 09:03Google has announced yesterday what could welcome become a new email, a program, API and most importantly: a new protocol - Google Wave. One of the things I like about it, is its seamless merging of email and IM into one convenient easy to use interface, with threads, multiple participants, private messages and image attachments. All this operated from any browser that supports HTML 5. Firefox, Chrome and Safari were shown (now love for IE?).
Would you tell me what is up?
Submitted by Anonymous on Sat, 2006-09-09 23:18I have had at least several times in my life people disappearing from my circle of friends withought ever explaining the reason. If you ever experienced it, you know its enough to keep you paranoid. You keep guessing and boiling it in your mind "What the hell did go wrong?" and "Why didn't you tell me?" or "Why didn't you show it or give some sort of sign?". I guess i'm talking about straight forwardedness, which I found, many people do not consider an essential trait.
Narrow-mindedness
Submitted by ventagirl on Sat, 2006-09-02 21:16Interacting with narrow-minded people can be exhausting. They don't know much and they don't want to know yet they're so stubborn in their opinions! You tell them about your plans and if they think you shouldn't do it, they'll keep saying "No, you can't do that". Why? It's no good. But why? I don't know, it's just no good. Or ... nobody does that. This is all they can say. If you ask them to elaborate, they become defensive and say "What? I can't have my own opinion?" You can have your darned opinion.
