Swine flu histeria continued: Level 5
So, according to CDC we have a couple of hundred infected folks in US alone. But what is surprising is that none of them died! None! Oh, a 2-year old boy from Mexico, very tragic, but come on, little kids die from regular flu complications every year. Thousands of them!
Now what about Mexico? I tried to dig into those 20 or so deaths in Mexico from H1N1 epidemics. Unfortunately, the article in Wikipedia on this cites New York Times as a source! Can you imagine, what kind of information void there is if an article in a mass printed newspaper suddenly becomes a source in an "encyclopedia"?
One thing is certain: there is a high level of uncertainty here. And what do we as species (or as a nation) do in face of uncertainty? We freak !!!
What do I propose is a simple three step plan to avoid apparently imminent crisis (actually, to avoid creating a crisis):
1) The usual personal hygiene: Never hurts to wash your hands after you wipe your ass, pandemic or not
2) Stop reading flu-related news (except this story, of course :-): Block words flu, swine flu, and H1N1 in your Google searches, RSS's, Twits and Facebook settings if you can.
3) Concentrate on something useful: going to work and WORKING there helps.
It will be all over soon and the next plague, virus, threat of the XXI century will be upon us in no time. It always has.
Two dead people from swine
Two dead people from swine flu -- sounds wa-a-ay too scary! And now there is more profit flying towards Big Pharma -- vaccination! Not only flue vaccines are totally useless -- this hysteria will lead the most {idiots) to believe in tremendous saving powers of vaccinations. They will give in on this hysterical swine flu wave, and then continue to follow whatever "big brother" tells them to do (through TV commercials and corrupt doctors, deserving prosecution!)

People! If you think all this bullshit about swine flu, pouring on you from everywhere, destroying people's lives, has something to do with your health? Hell no! It is all about corporations making more money, seriously! As for you -- it only worsens your health, so that you start believe those suckers you need more treatment ($pend even more on legal druds), and wasting you tax money!!!
